The Mystery Spot is located

within the woods just outside of Santa Cruz, located at

465 Mystery Spot Rd in Santa Cruz, Ca.

You know, the first time I heard this place, I said, “What is so darn mysterious about this place?”

So I had to go there myself and find out!

I didn't quite know what to expect. I mean, I've seen pictures but I've always wondered, “How the hell is that possible?”

I knew I just had to grab a few of my friends, and discover this mystery for myself!

Okay, so we finally arrived at this place and all I could see first coming out of the car were trees...

...and lots of it...but not normal trees...

...THEY BENT!

So we got out of the car, purchased our tickets, and began our tour.

We “hiked” up a seemingly endless, incredibly steep hill to a house that appeared quite...deformed...

There was something not right about it!

The floor appeared level, yet my balance mechanism in my head was telling me a different story. I was standing up straight on a table of an even surface (or so I thought) yet I slanted forward...Hard to explain so here's a picture:

Okay, now, I'm telling you I was not at all trying to fall forward. I really was standing up straight! But, as you can see, I was indeed at an angle!

The tour guide was also always sure to answer any questions and prove a guest wrong through demonstrations...

Demonstrations

The tour included a simple demonstration of 2 volunteers, comparing heights. I was sure to volunteer myself!

Now, I'm roughly 5 feet tall, and the other volunteer was a few more inches taller than I was...We each stood on a plank that were seemingly of the same level...

...come to find it, 5 feet tall is taller than 5'4! I found myself looking down at the other volunteer...

...I told myself, this sh#4 has got to be slanted. BUT, to prove myself (and others thinking the same thing) wrong, the tour guide demonstrated a how the plank is indeed LEVEL.

She placed a ball on the plank. My, to my surprise, it did not roll at all!!

She then attempted once again to fool our eyes by rolling the ball on plank that seemed to slant downwards...

...THE BALL ROLLED THE OPPOSITE WAY!

I'm telling you, The Mystery Spot defies all laws of gravity and you surely just have to go see it and experience it for yourself!

The Mystery Spot will stun your perceptions and question the laws of gravity and physics. But exactly what causes this anomaly??

Some say that it's all an illusion, that the whole area is full of slants and clever engineering meticulously created to fool the human eye. However, how do you explain objects going opposite to the way it's supposed to go? How do you explain a shorter individual appearing taller than the other?

The tour guide says a space craft is buried deep underground, creating “magnetic or supernatural forces known to challenge earthly gravitational pull” (um...ok...I'll buy that, haha.).

Another tour guide says that it's because there's a vortex, or a hole in the ground somewhere in that area, allowing carbon dioxide to permeate through- creating an abnormal gravitational pull and defying the laws of physics. (this was how she explained our dizziness and loss of perception, haha).

Either way, you're just going to have to go there and find an explanation yourself!
