Get in the Hottest San Francisco Dance Clubs.
Searching for the hottest San Francisco Dance Clubs? If you're ever in the San Francisco Bay Area, I have to hella encourage you to go "clubbing".
Why? Because it's one of the most important things you MUST do if you want an awesome nightlife experience here in San Francisco!
There are PLENTY of San Francisco dance club, but to assure that you only go to the ones that are worth going to, I've listed only the most popular ones (or some that are not so, but are definitely still worth dropping by).
540 Howard St
(between 1st St & James Lick Fwy)
San Francisco, CA 94105
This is definitely one of the most "crackin" San Francisco Dance Clubs due to its size, atmosphere, drinks, music, and popularity.
Open Thursday-Saturday 10pm-4am, Adults 21+ can party here all night long!
Now, the drinks are quite pricey (I bought some that were $15+) but the stunning atmosphere make up for the price. Not to mention, it's only $5 if you go there before 11pm and sign up for their guest list on their website at TempleSF.com. Otherwise, the cover is most likely in the $20-$30 range.
What's remarkable about this club is that there are 3 rooms/spacious areas to dance in. The Shrine- the largest room, which features a more soothing lounge area; Destiny Lounge which is a more sophisticated, techno-like atmosphere with dark lighting; and Catacombs, which is on the most bottom floor of the club, giving it an "underground-like" atmosphere.
When I go here, I find myself in the Catacomb area only because it seemed like I was dancing in a cave, and that gave it sort of a mysterious-seductive vibe. Not to mention that's where they played my HipHop/Rap jams ;).
420 Mason St
(between Derby St & Geary St)
San Francisco, CA 94102
One of the most popular San Francisco Dance Clubs, Ruby Skye is well known amongst Techno Music fans.
Open Thursdays 7pm-2am, Adults 18+ (the bar area is restricted to 21+) celebrate their weekends early. Also open on Friday-Saturday 7pm-4am for those who'd like to party all night long!
Although considered one of the hottest night clubs to go to in SF, Ruby Skye is not really for me...
...Why? Because I'm more into HipHop/Rap and the DJs mostly play Electronic Dance Music, and the cover is quite pricey ($20-$30) but again offers discounts if you sign up on their guest list at RubySkye.com.
But if you're into EDM (Electronic Dance Music) then I suggest you visit this club!
2424 Mariposa St
(between Potrero Ave & Hampshire St)
San Francisco, CA 94110
This has got to be one of the most unique San Francisco Dance Clubs because...
...partiers of ALL AGES are welcome here! That's right, all ages are allowed, lol.
So if you're a hard-core party man/woman looking to hook up, don't get surprised if you find old women and children dancing around in the building!
No but really, what's great about this place is that...It's just plain FRIENDLY, FUN, and DIFFERENT.
They play all sorts of music---from Jazz to Old School to Classic to Modern songs! It's something that everyone can enjoy.
So if you're looking for a place to enjoy and party with your whole family or an underaged company, then this is the place to go. :)
By the way, they're open Tuesdays, Sundays, and Saturdays. Visit VerdiClub.net for more info or call them at (415) 861-9199.
119 Utah St.
(between Alameda St. & 15th St.)
San Francisco, CA 94103
Open Thursday-Saturday 10pm to 4am, Adults 21+ can come here even in non-formal dress codes. You can literally come here in sweats and no one will care!
The parking is also a plus for this venue as it's located in a spacious area. The cover charge is quite cheap as well, $5 if you sign up on their website at Mighty119.Com.
Again, I'm not a big fan of house or techno music, so this is why I only gave this 3/5 stars. (I went here because a friend's birthday was held here). But I mean if I was into house music, I'd think this place is pretty awesome.
The atmosphere is awesome, and the crowd and bouncers are usually very friendly.
489 Broadway
(between Rowland St. & Kearny St.)
San Francisco, CA 94133
The only time I went to this place was during Halloween of last year, but based on that experience, I'd say this is one of the most crackin' San Francisco Dance Clubs / Lounges.
I say that because there were so many people yet there was enough space to move around, dance, and get ourselves a table.
The venue is not as big as the others, but it surely will do. It's also a restaurant, so you can feed yourselves before you burn off them calories, haha.
Open Wed-Thurs. 5pm-10pm and Fri-Sat 5pm-2am, Adults 21+ can find themselves enjoying a great time with friends eating and dancing the night away!
The only bad things I have to say about this club is that the drinks were quite pricey, ($10-$15). I don't know if it was because we went on Halloween, but still. That, and the parking can be difficult!
If you're looking to experience the San Francisco nightlife, make sure you go clubbing in one of these clubs I discussed first. Feel free to try others, but be cautious of the clubs you enter!Don't go into the ones that look "too" hidden or underground as you don't know what you might find in there...
...But if you're into that, then go right ahead, but please be careful, be cautious of your surroundings, regardless of which San Francisco Dance Clubs you decide to go to!
See you around,
